Description

Interview 1: Craig Manning, health communication specialist within the Viral Special Pathogens Branch of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, briefly reviews his career, then describes his early involvement in CDC's response to the 2013-16 Ebola epidemic. Manning was on the first CDC team sent to Guinea in the spring of 2014, and he describes that experience, as well as his part in the formation of CDC's health promotion team in Sierra Leone later that fall.

Interview 2: Craig Manning, health communication specialist with CDC's Viral Special Pathogens Branch, continues discussing his role in the agency's response to the 2013-16 Ebola epidemic. Manning describes experiences throughout the response in Guinea and Sierra Leone, working to coordinate health messages alongside CDC's Dr. Pierre Rollin and several partner organizations.
