Description

This micrograph reveals some of the histopathology of a section of gallbladder tissue in a case of cryptosporidiosis. The paraffin-embedded tissue shows numerous Cryptosporidium sp. parasitic organisms in the small and large intestine. In this particular case, this patient had acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).
