Description

This highly magnified micrograph depicts the usual histopathologic changes found in a Kaposi’s sarcoma lesion. Called pleomorphism, note how the nuclei vary in size and staining qualities, with some of the nuclei being atypical. Kaposi’s sarcoma (KS) is a cancer that is common in those who’ve developed the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), or an AIDS infection.
